Indo white UP – HB is stable for almost unlimited periods in dry storage

Shade :

 

Indo white UP – HB gives a neutral shade in all applications. It greens off only if too large amounts are used.

Indo white UP – HB in the wet end application :

Indo white UP – HB has outstanding affinity and is very effective in unsized papers. It is also noted for good affinity even with very soft water (<7' g.h or <70 ppm CaO). Largely unaffected by cationic substances, it can readily be used for papers sized with synthetic additives.

The product is particularly suitable for fluorescent whitening in acid sized loaded papers at a pH levels of 4.8 – 6.5 and has considerable advantages over tetrasulpho products when used in amount of less than 1.0%. At a pH below 4.8, the amount of Indo white UP - HB. Added should not be more than 0.30%.

Indo white UP – HB can be dispensed intermittently at either the pulper or the mixing chest as liquid or as stock solution. It should always be added before the alum and never together with alum or other additives.

With its high affinity, Indo white UP – HB is the product of choice for continuous dosing, including at a point in the circuit where the stock is of slow consistency.

Indo white UP – HB at the size press application :

As stated above, Indo white UP – HB is not the ideal product for size press application and we recommend using a indo white AS type or a indo white BSU type product.

Indo white UP – HB in coating :

 

Excellent results can be obtained by applying Indo white UP – HB in coating mixes based on casein or protein, as co-binders. Very good effects are achieved with coating mixes containing synthetic co-binders and latex. Good effects are obtained if only low amount, i.e less than 0.4 parts of other co-binders such as CMC or PVA, are used. Indo white UP – HB should not be used in coating compounds with starch as binder. For these applications are recommended using a Indo white AB – Z type and Indo white BSU type.
